My hometown is associated, mainly, with baseball team, called "Demony", which took part in European and Asian Championships of Little League in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009. What is interesting about this event is that we have hosted these Championships two years in a row.
In Miejska Górka, there are not many opportunities to be entertained, except for two pubs and a club which is located 5 kilometers away from the city. What I would recommend everyone to see, is the lake with beautiful surroundings, such as parks, promenades and forests.
What a nice name for a town :) I didn't know there was a place in Poland where baseball would be so strong. Very intriguing. Do you know how it all started?

ReplyDeleteyeah... There was one man (unfortunately, he is dead [*]) who visited The United States many years ago and when he came back, he decided to set up a baseball club. Then he found a couch and volunteers who wanted to play. At the beggining they had training on a soccer pitch. After ten years he found sponsors from Kutno and they built these beautiful baseball fields:)
